Roof Cleaning & Sealing

Infestations of moss, algae and lichen is a characteristic of many roofs throughout Hampshire, so initially the roof will be treated with Smartseal™ Fungicidal Wash, a recognised cleaner with the ability to kill off this surface growth; also it's biodegradable and doesn't contain bleach or acid.    

The main cleaning process can then begin and by using the latest, custom built equipment that we have invested in, years of contamination can be removed quickly and effectively, promptly transforming the look of the roof.  

Once clean, we will then turn our attention to any repairs that need to be carried out. Loose mortar can be hacked out and re-pointed and we will replace any cracked or damaged tiles.   

When the cleaning is complete and the roof is dry, we would recommend that all roofs in the Hampshire area would benefit from an application of Smartseal Roof Sealer sealer or Smartseal Roof Coating. This product has been developed to provide a non-permeable membrane across the surface, protecting the roof from further contamination. The 100% acrylic content allows the correct functioning of the tiles to flex with the cold and the heat.  

The Smartseal Roof Sealer is clear and the Coatings are available in a choice of colours and the composition of this popular coating importantly allows the roof to 'breathe'. This is an essential factor to enable the roof tiles to expel moisture from the inside out.
